Dona Sturmanis
Dona Sturmanis was born in Houston, Texas. She earned her MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia. For almost 40 years, she has been a journalist, magazine and book editor and college writing instructor. She now lives in Kelowna, BC.
As a poet and short story writer, her works have appeared in numerous literary journals and have won 18 awards, including the national Kalamalka New Writers Competition in 1997, sponsored by Okanagan College, which resulted in the publication of her poetry book You Mistook Heaven.
